Report:
Conejos River has been high for several weeks now and appears to be clearing and heading down. Flows 1500 at Broiles bridge. Fished the La Jara with another of the guides (37 cfs)on friday and did well with attractor dry flies size 12 (Black bodied trudes) Randy fished today above Broiles and did well on a Peacock stone size 10 and caught one on a larger dry. I fished this evening for an hour and caught several nice fish in the fly only water above Bear Creek. Water tea colored. Peacock Stone #8 and several on a #4 Conehead olive muddler on the edges. No action on the dry fly this evening. With the flows coming down the Conejos should begin to really shine soon. Los Pinos has gone from 1600 to 500 in the last couple of weeks and is getting close to some fishing. For more info call Randy or myself. 719 376 5660. Jon Harp
